Artist's Comments
Title is French for "Citizen of the World". A simple shot taken in Canberra, the capital city of Australia.
France has elected its new president just a few days ago, after 12 years of Jacques Chirac. Regardless of the winner and losers, I feel proud of my country for the 86% of vote participation - a few years ago, we were nowhere near this commitment. Even if it stemmed from fear, I am glad it's there now.
Still, it remains sad that people often vote for the candidate's perceived personality and not his/her program, or let their opinion be pre-hashed for them by the general media, always eager to brainwash.
Anyway, here's the pic
